Training day 2 – Educated... That wasn’t all….
Sunday 3rd of April saw CJS Fitness and IronMac Fitness bring theirTraining Day 2 workshop to CrossFit Reading. It promised much…and with
Special Guest Coach, Andy Bolton it more then delivered. How do you
gauge the value of a workshop. For me it’s simple - that there is
something that you can take away that will make you a better athlete,
coach and person. On this day there was a wealth of knowledge that was made available.
We don’t need to go into detail as the credentials of all the Coaches
speak for themselves, but when our members tell us it was a day well
spent and was ‘awesome’, than we know we’ve been well educated. And of course, there was Andy Bolton. Some knowledge shared by Andy
Bolton saw 3 of our members hit deadlift PBs that day. This was with
the sort of instruction that came straight from the mouth from one of
the worlds greatest powerlifters and the first man to deadlift over
1000lbs off the floor. The day was more then just about the knowledge, it was also about some
fun. Competitions for prizes gave folks the chance to test the
BeaverFit pull up rig, with pretty much everyone in attendance hanging
by their hands, on for dear life…and some prizes. The time was over 3
minutes in case you were wondering…and the rig held up very well. Personal development, Prizes and Personal bests. What more could you want? So was it useful? Hell Yeah. Should you get to the next Training Day 2
if it was to happen again? Hell Yeah!
