The Kettlebell Workshop 

A kettlebell is a cannonball with a handle!  It originated in Russia but has been developed and played with globally for some years.  Many companies now manufacture their own kettle bells with some varied results.  Regardless of the design, just swinging one of these pieces of equipment can have great benefits for full body power and strength development. 

 

Our kettlebell workshop has been designed to cater for a wide range of capabilities.  Whether you are just starting on your fitness path, workout and want to add to your training tools or are a kettlebell user looking to tweak your technique and improve mechanics this workshop will be beneficial.

 Through structured coaching and training we will teach you safe and sound technique and development in the squat, deadlift, sumo deadlift, the two handed swing, single arm swings, high pull, the clean, press / push press / push jerk, the snatch, the windmill and the turkish get up. 

To allow for better coaching places are limited to 15 with only 5 working at one time. You won't turn up and find 30 people crammed in to a hall.  This is un-ethical and places attendees in danger.

We will use specific training techniques to work you through all the movements.  The movements will be broken down and each part of the movement explained and then built back up.

We are not in the business of charging ridiculous prices for our workshops.  We want to provide excellent coaching and support at a reasonable price that allows everyone to benefit from using these tools. 

The Olympic Lifting Workshop

If you look at the best Athletes in the Olympic Games 90% of them will have one thing in common, ranging from pole vaulters to shot putters, they all have some form of Olympic weightlifting in their program. 

Olympic lifting increases power development like nothing else and olympic lifters are some of the most strong and powerful people on the planet.  It is not uncommon for heavy olympic lifters to be able to box jump great heights - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UoCZne0g-e8.

When performed correctly olympic lifting can improve all areas of your training.  Strength, power, speed, balance, coordination and conditioning are all aided by olympic lifting.

We will teach you the clean, the snatch, the power clean, the power snatch, assistance exercises and a structured progression through every lift.

The workshops are physically demanding so bring appropriate footwear, clothing and refreshments.  Fizzy drinks and heavy foods will play havoc with you so be smart with energy refreshment.
