This page outlines the terms and conditions of purchase and delivery of products. We are a distributor of the goods available on this site. At no time do we hold stock and your products are delivered direct from the suppliers warehouse. Please check each of the suppliers T&C's along with delivery and returns information.
We are open in our set up. We have gone to great lengths to arrange discount with these suppliers. You buy products from this site because they are cheaper than going direct. We make a little profit which we feel only fair as we arranage the discounts.
York Terms & Conditions
Please consult your doctor before using any exercise equipment or embarking upon any exercise routine.
Price
We may change the advertised price of a product at any time. The price you pay will be the price in force at the time of your order. The price on your order will be validated by us as part of out acceptance of your order. We try to ensure prices displayed on our website are correct at all times. However, should a pricing error arise we will inform you of the correct price before we take payment and you may choose to either proceed with or cancel the order.
Payment
Payment is taken when the order is placed. Please note that orders must be paid for in full before they are dispatched, and that means waiting for cheques to clear which could take up to working 10 days.
Delivery
All products will require a signature. For large, bulky items you may be contacted a few days before the delivery to arrange a suitable time. Smaller items will be delivered by courier. If nobody is in to sign for the goods they will be left at your local depot for you to pick up.
Large products will be delivered to the ground floor room of your choice; this is subject to good and safe access. If you live in a block of flats carriers will only deliver to the ground floor entrance to the block. Please note: Upstairs deliveries are at the Carriers discretion and are not guaranteed. If you have alternative / special delivery requirements, please contact us before your goods are delivered.
For deliveries to the Channel Islands, IOM, IOW and Scottish Islands , we may need to contact you after you have placed the order to discuss an amended delivery charge. If at any time we have to amend a delivery charge, you will be free to cancel the order at no cost.
Delivery times
Estimated delivery time is between 7 to 10 working days, although this may be longer for deliveries to Ireland, Scottish Highlands, Channel Islands, IOM and IOW . However, this is not a guarantee and as deliveries are carried out by third parties York Barbell will not be held liable for any deliveries that fall outside this timescale.
Receiving the goods
When your order is delivered, you must count the items and check for any damage and then sign and print your name to confirm you have received the whole order in good condition.
It will state on your delivery note how many boxes you should receive. If the boxes you receive don't match the delivery note you must write down the number of boxes received on the delivery note next to your signature.
Any damage to the equipment or packaging must be noted on the delivery note next to your signature. THE WORDS “UNEXAMINED” OR “UNCHECKED” WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. Any shortages or damages must be reported to York Barbell (UK) Ltd within 48 hours of signing. York Barbell UK Ltd cannot be held responsible for shortages or damages if not stated on delivery note. This does not affect your statutory rights in the event of the goods being faulty.
If you refuse the delivery for any other reason that the goods being damaged in transit, you are liable for all outward and return freight charges. If any of the larger products will not fit through doors or stairwells, and delivery is refused or returned, you will be responsible for all outward and return freight costs.
Cancellations and Returns
If you wish to cancel an order you must let us know in writing. You may cancel your order for a full refund prior to your order being shipped. If you cancel your order after it has been shipped, you are responsible for any and all freight charges incurred by York Barbell (UK) Ltd. Any unpaid freight charges will be deducted from your refund. We advise you to check the status of your order before you cancel.
Under Distance Selling Regulations you have the right to cancel your order for a full refund up to 7 days after receiving the goods. However, the goods must be in an unused condition and all packaging must be intact. In this instance you will be liable for all delivery charges incurred by York Barbell (UK) ltd.
If a product is either received faulty or it develops a fault, please in the first instance contact our Helpdesk on 01327 701 824 and have your proof of purchase ready. If products arrive in a damaged condition you must make a note on the carrier's delivery note where possible and inform us within 7 working days of the delivery. York Barbell (UK) Ltd will, at its option, repair the product, replace the product or issue a refund. You will not be charged for the cost of returning a defective product.
Warranties
All products come with a minimum 12 months parts and labour warranty. The warranty excludes normal wear and tear on parts. Your sales receipt, showing the date of purchase of the product, is your proof of the date of purchase. This warranty becomes VALID ONLY if the Product is assembled / installed according to the instructions / directions included with the product. This warranty does not extend to any product that has been damaged or rendered defective: (a) as a result of accident, misuse, or abuse or lack of reasonable care; (b) by the use of parts not manufactured by York Barbell or sold by York Barbell; (c) by modification of the product; (d) as a result of service by anyone else other than York Barbell or an authorised York Barbell warranty service provider. During the warranty period York Barbell (U.K.) Ltd. will at no additional charge replace part(s) or repair the product (at York Barbell's option) if it becomes defective, malfunctions or otherwise fails to conform with this warranty under normal, non-commercial, personal, family or household use. In repairing the product, York Barbell may replace defective parts or at the option of York Barbell, use serviceable used parts that are equivalent to new parts in performance. All exchanged parts and products replaced under this warranty will become the property of York Barbell. York Barbell (U.K.) Ltd. reserves the right to change manufacturers of any part to cover any existing warranty.
Refurbished products
Refurbished products are faulty or returned products that have been restored to full working order. Any malfunctioning parts (e.g. motors) are fixed or replaced, and the product is thoroughly cleaned and tested to make sure the item is working correctly and safe to use. The newly-conditioned products are then carefully packaged and boxed ready for sale. Please be aware a refurbished product may show slight signs of prior use and assembly although every effort is made to return the product to brand new condition. All refurbished products come with a 12 month parts and labour warranty unless otherwise stated.
Website
Any typographical or clerical or other error or omission in any sales literature, quotation, price list, acceptance of offer, invoice or other document or information issued by York Barbell (UK) Ltd shall be subject to correction without any liability on the part of York Barbell (UK) Ltd.
Photographs are for illustrative purpose only, and may not exactly match the product itself. All measurements shown on our website are approximate.

You are responsible in all respects for all use of and for protecting the confidentiality of any username, email verification and password that may be given to you or selected by you for use on our website. You may not share these with or transfer them to any third parties. You must notify York Barbell immediately of any unauthorised use of them or any other breach of security regarding our website that comes to your attention.

If, for any reason, your product is not satisfactory, we will gladly replace it or refund your money (excluding delivery charges). Simply return your merchandise with the original paperwork and packaging within 7 days of receiving your order. We promise to process your request in a timely manner.

Specific Delivery Date Orders
It is often possible to deliver on a specific date. Jordan Fitness will always try to ensure this happens, though we cannot guarantee it. Jordan Fitness cannot entertain any claim for compensation arising from late delivery due to a third party carrier.
Order Cancellation/Refused Deliveries

You may cancel your order for a full refund prior to your order being shipped or ordered from the manufacturer, though if any costs have been incurred they will be deducted from monies received. If you cancel your order after it has been shipped, you are responsible for any and all freight charges incurred by Jordan Fitness . Any unpaid freight charges will be deducted from your refund. If you refuse to accept delivery of your order for any other reason than the product being damaged in transit, you are liable for all outward and return freight charges incurred by your refusal. If it is found that any of the larger products upon delivery 'will not fit' through any doors/stairwells and the product is subsequently returned/refused, you are responsible for all outward and return carriage costs and a 15% re-stocking fee is applicable.
Restricted Access
Although our carriers are equipped with detailed road maps of every area of the UK mainland, is there any further information that would make your home easier to locate?
Due to the overall size of some delivery vehicles, Jordan Fitness or any carriers delivering on behalf of us must be informed of any restrictions regarding access for the delivery vehicle. This includes, though not limited to, steps (including those required to climb to gain access to the property entrance), trees, shrubs, steeply inclined driveways, narrow lanes, tight bends or any other restrictions that may make it difficult for the delivering vehicle to gain access to the point of delivery. Jordan Fitness will not accept any claims for compensation arising from non/failed/refused delivery of any item where the carriers or Jordan Fitness were not made aware of any points regarding access restrictions. In the event that the item is refused/cancelled due to these restrictions, the customer is liable for all carriage charges and a 15% re-stocking fee will be applied. We would therefore recommend that you ensure the product will fit and can be transported to its ground floor point of installation easily. If you need to confirm the total ‘boxed’ dimensions of a product please call Jordan Fitness prior to placing your order.
Delivery Terms
Please note: Due to Health and Safety regulations upstairs deliveries are at the carriers discretion and are not guaranteed. This includes, but not limited to, steps that are immediately outside the premises, which are required to climb in order to gain access to the property.
Delivery (1 man)
All orders are processed and shipped in the order that they are received. Normal delivery time is 7 to 10 working days. Delivery times may increase around holidays and peak shipping seasons. The freight delivery service you receive may vary among carrier companies. Since most carriers deliver to the curb side immediately adjacent to their vehicle and regard inside delivery as an extra service cost, it may be necessary for you to assist or move merchandise into your home, this is especially relevant if you live in a block of flats as carriers will only deliver to the ground floor entrance to the block. If you have alternative delivery requirements, please contact Jordan Fitness and we can make alternative arrangements. Ideally include two telephone numbers so that the carrier can contact you should they need too. All deliveries are made Monday to Friday between 8am and 6pm. Saturday deliveries are available, please contact Jordan Free Weights for a low cost quotation. Unfortunately our carriers are unable to give specific times for the free delivery service, if you would like a specific time or weekend we would be happy to provide a quotation, please call Jordan Fitness on 01945 880257.
Delivery (2 man)
This service is only available on large premium priced products (check at time of order). Although the carrier will place the product in the ground floor room of your choice, this is subject to good and safe access. Please note: Due to Health and Safety regulations, upstairs deliveries are at the carriers discretion and are not guaranteed. We can install upstairs though this requires our own specialist team, please call for a low cost installation. This includes steps that are immediately outside the premises and are required to climb in order to gain access to the property. Please allow at least 10 working days for this service.
If it is found that the product 'will not fit' through/round any doors/stairwells and the product is subsequently returned, you are responsible for all outward and return carriage costs and a 15% re-stocking fee is applicable. These larger products have pre-arranged deliveries, which mean the item will be booked in with you by the carrier or the supplier. If when the carrier arrives with your goods after pre-arrangement and there is no-one present to receive them, they will be returned to the carrier’s depot, or to the supplier. In this case you will be liable for ALL charges for re-delivery. Please note, if the order is subsequently cancelled, you will be liable for all carriage charges and a 15% re-stocking fee.

Jordan Fitness will not be held responsible for any delays/damages due to third party carriers, nor can we entertain any claims for compensation where the carrier fails to deliver at an agreed time.
Any claims for damages to property caused by any third party carrier must be taken up direct with the carrier.
Installation
If you require installation of the product(s), the time between order and installation may be longer than for delivery only, though we always try our hardest to install as soon as possible.
We will always try to arrive on time, but will not be held responsible for late arrival due to unforeseen circumstances.
It is imperative that the space for the product(s) has been cleared and that access is unrestricted. Therefore we would ask that you provide Jordan Fitness with as much information as possible concerning the placement of the equipment in to your home, e.g. will it be going through single or double front door, lower / ground / first floor?
All prices quoted are for ground floor installations in the main building of the property or a garage at side of the main part of the building. Installations above or below ground floor or outside the main building i.e. an outhouse etc. may be subject to surcharge, especially if not mentioned at the time of order. You may be asked to assist the installer to get the product(s) to their location; if no help is available then a 2 man installation may be required at extra cost.
Adequate parking / vehicle access must be provided by the customer. Any charges incurred by the installer for parking etc. will be chargeable. If the installation time is extended by there being inadequate parking / access then the extra time will also be chargeable at £40.00 per hour. It is the customer’s responsibility to check that the installation has been carried out to their satisfaction. If the customer is not present when the installation is completed the installation will be deemed as completed to the customers satisfaction. Any subsequent visits that may be required will be chargeable at the same rate as the first visit.
Jordan Fitness is within its rights to refuse any installation if the installer deems the installation location to be hazardous or the request unreasonable. If the product does not fit into the area where the installation is requested and a representative of Jordan Free Weights did not measure the area, then Jordan Fitness cannot be held responsible, therefore the customer will incur the cost of the visit. Agreed installation times must be adhered too.
If you intend to use the equipment in a hotel, school, etc. (light commercial environment) or health club (full commercial) it is entirely the responsibility of the customer to check with Jordan Fitness that the product is suitable and manufactured to the required standards.

Exchanges or Returns
IT IS ESSENTIAL THAT YOU KEEP ALL THE PACKAGING. YOU MUST RE-PACK ALL ITEMS IN THE ORIGINAL PACKAGING FOR RETURN TO JORDAN FITNESS. WE CANNOT ACCEPT ANY ITEMS FOR RETURN THAT ARE NOT IN THEIR ORIGINAL PACKAGING UNLESS DEEMED TO BE FAULTY BY JORDAN FITNESS OR ONE OF IT’S ENGINEERS.
Our exchange and return policy is simple. If within your 7 day home approval you wish to return or exchange an item, call us on 01945 880257 between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday, to obtain a Return Authorisation Number. (No returns or exchanges will be accepted without this authorisation number). Once you receive this number, please make arrangements to send back the piece(s) you need to exchange or return to arrive back at Jordan Fitness within 7 working days. All returns and exchanges must be shipped back freight pre-paid unused, disassemled and arrive in ‘as new’ condition in the original packaging. Please contact our Customer Service within 7 Days from the day after you receive your shipment in order to receive return authorisation. You will be charged for items received back that when inspected are found to have been used or built. Special order items, or items manufactured to your specifications are not returnable. In the event of special order items that are received faulty, we will of course rectify this by either replacing the faulty part, or if the entire product is faulty, a full replacement will be sent free of charge. Shipping and handling charges on returns are the responsibility of the customer and are not refundable.

Warranty
Jordan Free Weights,Studio & Performance Products
Jordan Free Weights carry a limited 12 month parts warranty against manufacturing defects for the original purchaser.
PowerbagsTM are covered by the standard 12 months warranty against manufacturing defects but not damage caused by contact with abrasive surfaces (concrete, tarmacadem,etc).Occasional topping-up of the sand in the inner bag is not classed as a warranty issue.
Please Note:
Free weights go through probably the most extreme life of any fitness product, a correct maintenance program along with good exercise technique will prolong their life considerably.
